Robert W. Darmstadt, Founder
Robert has been an inventor since childhood; he and his engineer father jointly patented a pneumatic structure in 1981. He has worked in the field of computer systems engineering for many years, at the New York Stock Exchange, St. Johns University, SeaLand, and BellCore (later, Telcordia) among others. He currently holds 15 provisional patents in fields ranging from telecommunications through housewares to transportation. TIE Development, Inc., is his concept. It has been his long-held belief that There Is Enough, that all people benefit when they share both the load of work and the good that comes out of it.
The idea of TIE Development, Inc., is to create an online social network that improves the lives of all. The social network creates smaller interest groups - cells - that work together on ideas to make the world a better place. The ideas can be large-scale, like creating improvements in highway systems, or small, like a better mouse trap. The group or cell decides on their core idea, then works together to refine the idea. The group can apply for a patent, if they consider the idea original enough for a patent, or they can develop the idea further, or sell it to a corporation to produce. All the group or cell members are part of the design and development project; their input is tracked online, and when the project reaches completion, the income is shared based on their contributions.
Liza Darmstadt, President
Liza has worked in direct marketing, technical writing, and most recently, as a teacher. She has been the President of TIE Development, Inc., since Robert's resignation in 2012, and is working to continue and grow his concept. Like him, she is dedicated to the idea that when people work together, their ideas grow faster and better, and can benefit everyone.
